SMWS 42.86 Old-school cool SMWS

From the first sniff, we were transported back to old school flavors, with intriguing twists. The sweetness of spun sugar, candied hazelnuts and pineapple slices rolled in icing sugar melts with fresh pine, olive oil and old jute sacks. The palate reveals a note of green grass, swaying through dried hay before moving towards pear juice, sweet tea and tobacco. A little water filled the jute sacks with coal dust and memories of smoke. Then orange blossom and quince jelly brought out the fruit alongside dried beech leaves and black cardamom. Finally, fragrant heather appeared with pears poached in white port and a little walnut oil.
